For this Sunday’s NPL fixtures, we have the following:
10am: U15 v Eltham, U18 v Langwarrin
12pm U14 v Langwarrin, U16 v Eltham
5.00 pm Seniors v Heidelberg
7.30pm 21’s v Heidelberg
I know a lot of junior and Miniroos families are keen to stay around and watch the seniors, or go and come back. We encourage all families to support the last regular season game at home for our Seniors and U21. For JBNPL and Miniroos games – The canteen will be open, but on the senior side like on a Friday night. The new bistro area on the gaming side will be open all day.

Presentation nights:
We are hopefully confirming the junior presentation and Miniroos presentation nights this week, to be transparent we are looking at a Friday night for each, in September, and will soon get details out so families so you can save the date and book a table.

Parent commentary:
Parent coaching to players on game-day, or going off at a referee/linesman is absolutely out of order. If you do not have the emotional stability to watch and support your son’s team, go watch from a corner away from others, to keep your thoughts to yourself. If you still cannot control yourself, just stay home, have your partner bring your son and everyone wins, players most of all. To be clear, players can be removed from the club if repeat parent behaviour continues.

Let coaches handle any official questions. I give out the ref money on Sundays, some get for example $22.50 – Do you feel an official wakes up in the morning trying to rig an npl junior or miniroos game? It is not healthy for our players if we use official decisions as the main reasons we win or lose a game.

JBNPL Teams on Pitch 1:
Each season the NPL juniors get on the senior pitch once a year, Miniroos on presentation night.
We are looking at the following dates for our four teams on the senior pitch:
27 Aug: U15 v Manningham at 10am and U16 v Heidelberg at 12 pm
10 Sep: U18 v Eastern Lions at 10 am and U14 v Ringwood at 12 pm
