Hi all,

I am writing to inform you that I am not renewing my position as Technical Director at Green Gully next year. I decided with my family in March (before my health went downhill for a while) and informed the Club. My official two-week notice to the Club ends tomorrow.

This decision was not made lightly, devoting eight years of my time is a long time and I want to express my gratitude to the Club for the opportunity to have been a part of what is now a solid program.

I can assure you that I have done everything possible to ensure a smooth transition. Mícheál and Jayden will be available to assist in the transfer of responsibilities as of tomorrow and to answer any questions. I will no longer be on the td@greengullysc.com.au email – Please feel free to reach out to me directly at Symons.aaron.j@gmail.com if there is anything specific you need (for example a lot of older players ask to have me down on their CV as a reference).

Whilst looking forward to my future, the coaches, TM’s and families I will certainly miss. I want to say thank you to Jayden, the coaches and team managers for their support and camaraderie in helping me set up the program the way it is. Of the current U18 boys I have known many since u10, some of the u15 since cubs, every age group this applies, and words cannot describe how cool it is to watch and mentor footballers as I have had the opportunity to do.

To the parents – It has been a privilege to work with your children and witness their growth on and off the field. I look forward to hearing about each of their progress and the progress of the program as a whole in the future.
