Miniroos and Community 2026 Update
Dear Green Gully Players and Families,
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Green Gully Football program for the 2025 season. We have had an amazing year across all ages and teams. It has been a pleasure to work with you all — from Miniroos and Community to JBNPL and our senior environment. We are very proud of the football played in our program, and of the commitment from all involved.
As we prepare for 2026, it is a good time to update everyone on our plans across the board and how the process will work.

Miniroos and Community:
We will aim to have the below teams at Miniroos and Community level for 2026:
Boys Teams
• U8 Wallabies (2018)
• U8 Kangaroos (2018)
• U9 Wallabies (2017)
• U9 Kangaroos (2017)
• U10 Kangaroos (potentially x2) (2016)
• U10 Wallabies (2016)
• U11 Kangaroos (x2) (2015)
• U11 Wallabies (2015)
• U12 Kangaroos (2014) (x2) (Pre-NPL)
• U13 Community (2013, Pre-NPL)
• U14A Community (2012)
Girls Teams
• U7s (2019)
• U8s (2018)
• U9s (2017)
• U12s (2014)
• U13s (2013)
• U14s (2012)
• U15s (2011)

With the girls programme we would appreciate your support with spreading the word about which teams we will look to have for 2026!

Trials:
All Miniroos and Community teams will go through the trial process in the first week of September. All teams will be confirmed by the 12th of September at the latest. Players will be emailed whether they are successful or unsuccessful. Please fill out an EOI to confirm your attendance at trials. Times and dates can be found on our website.
Given the volume of players trialling and the number of teams, we will not be in a position to give individual feedback to all players. We ask all to understand that this is a highly competitive environment, and nothing in it is personal — they are purely football decisions.
Players are welcome to trial for the age group above if they wish. If you intend to do so, please ensure you also fill out an EOI for that age group.

Season Expectations and Fees:
All Kangaroos teams will be entered into the Junior Super League (JSL) for both post-season and pre-season. Playing in this is a mandatory requirement for all players at a cost of $300 for post-season and $300 for pre-season.
Additional tournaments will be organised throughout the year and communicated by our Miniroos TD. The cost of these will be whatever the tournament charges, divided amongst the team.
Players are expected to maintain a minimum attendance of 90% across the season. Failure to do so will result in a reduction in game time and potential removal from the program following a written warning.
Offers will need to be accepted and fees paid within 2 days of the offer being sent.

Additional Programs:
• School Holiday Programs – Held every school holiday break for a 2-day program with our best coaches.
• Saturday Morning Sessions – Additional training session every Saturday of the school term. $250 per term. High-quality sessions run by our Miniroos TD to maximise player development. Available to internal and external players who want to get extra football in each week.

Staffing Updates:
We are improving our staffing to give our players and coaches the best possible program in 2026 by increasing our staffing availability to include more full-time staff. We will have some exciting updates about this in the coming weeks.

Thanks again to everyone for your time and effort this season. We wish all Gully players and families the very best for 2026.

Kind Regards,
Micheal
